Driver accused of being impaired in collision

On May 27, 2022, Patrol Services officers charged 21-year-old Ava Headrick with operation while impaired – blood alcohol (80+).

Around midnight, officers responded to a motor vehicle collision in the 0-100 block of Northern Avenue. Upon arrival, officers saw a vehicle that had hit a utility pole. Officers identified the driver as the accused and developed grounds to believe that her ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol.

She was arrested and then provided two samples in an approved device, recording failing results each time. She is charged with impaired faculties – blood alcohol (80+).

She was released on a notice to appear and is due in court on July 25, 2022.
