Driver killed in Fiery Auto Collision on Highway 86 [Imperial County, CA]

Victim is pronounced dead after car crash on Carey Road

IMPERIAL COUNTY, Calif. (June 10, 2022) – A victim was pronounced dead Wednesday night following a motor vehicle collision on Highway 86.

The incident happened around 5:00 p.m. near Carey Road. Dispatchers responded to the scene shortly thereafter.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the driver of a vehicle hit a tractor. Upon impact, the vehicle was engulfed in flames.

Due to the extent of the injuries sustained, doctors pronounced the driver dead at the scene.
