Man dies a year after hit-and-run in Inwood, police say

INWOOD, NY – A man died in late October after being hit by a car that fled the scene last year in Inwood, police said Thursday.

Felix Rosario Acosta, 63, was struck Dec. 24, 2021, at the corner of Nagle Avenue and Arden Street, police said.

The investigation revealed the White Plains resident was struck by an eastbound Mercedes Benz as he crossed the downtown street, police said.

Acosta was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition, where he remained alive until Oct. 22, 2022, police said.

The driver fled and was not found, police said.
