Police investigate fatal single-vehicle collision in District Heights – Southern Maryland News Net

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal collision that occurred on Tuesday morning. The deceased driver is Anthony Beverly, Sr., 61, of Upper Marlboro.

On July 26, 2022, at approximately 8:25 a.m., officers responded to the 6300 block of Elmhurst Street for a single vehicle collision.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Beverly Sr, who was the sole occupant of her vehicle, was traveling north on Aztec Drive as it approached the Elmhurst Street intersection.

For reasons that are under investigation, he hit the pavement and eventually hit a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
