Traffic chaos on the M50: Six vehicles collide on the motorway, three people hospitalized “as a precaution”

Three people have been hospitalized following a traffic accident involving six vehicles on the M50 which is causing delays to motorists this evening.

The incident took place at Junction 9 Red Cow during rush hour, and firefighters and ambulances quickly arrived on the scene.

“Three people have been taken to Tallaght University Hospital as a precaution. The road remains open,” a garda spokesman said.

Traffic camera footage shows very heavy traffic in the area.

“The hard shoulder and auxiliary lane are affected by severe approach delays,” a Dublin Fire Department spokesman said.
